Jenny Tolman made the Rolling Stone Magazine again... she's in 10 Best Country and Americana Songs of the Week! Her new single 'Rock and Roll To My Country Soul' debuted on 'Taste of Country' and is running up the charts. They are filming a big video on it for release soon, but hear the song on this little casual video here.

More about her:
A prolific performer, she recently played the New England's 'The Big E' and as you see above, is on tour with Adam Hood this fall. She has had to become an expert at locating gluten-free food on the road!

**********************************
The Jolly String Quartet played their debut Ryman Auditorium Show in July!

More about them:
Gorsha, Victor, Yara and Christina are four Russian-born adopted siblings who have been playing music since they were 7 years old. They are classically trained and play brilliant bluegrass, have appeared on stages as diverse as the Opry House, Ryman Auditorium, Carnegie Hall, Cannery Ballroom, and The Country Music Hall of Fame. Masters of multiple instruments and rich vocal harmony, their ever changing show will leave you in absolute amazement.

Also very much normal teenagers, these kids are miracles. Theirs is a story of rescue by the love of God and their adoptive parents, Jeff & Elaine Jolly. I'm so happy to be part of their journey!

Randy C. Moore played to a rapt crowd at Nashville's Whiskey Bent Saloon. Eric J Babin, owner of Radio Trop Rock, was there! Randy has stayed at the top of the Trop Rock charts all year. His deep, rich voice, great guitar playing, life-intuitive songs and easy way with an audience keep him busy!

More about him:
In-between his live touring, he hosts the internet radio show 'Country Music Legacy', aired all over the globe. Here's a clip of a show I played with him at Viva Nash Vegas.

************************************
Congratulations to Abby Stephens for winning the 'Youth' division of the Carolina Music Awards last month!

More about her:
Abby has been performing, writing and recording since she was a child. With a big voice with a compassionate heart, she started a local make-a-wish sort of charity called 'Best Day Ever' (the title to one of her songs) to benefit kids. She is the best kind of rising star.

************************************
Radney Foster has released a bilingual version of his classic lullaby 'Godspeed (Dulces Suenos)' to benefit RAICES in Texas. Click to read his July interview for Billboard Magazine.

More about him:
Radney originally wrote the song as a lullaby to his young son, who moved to France with his mother when he was only five. He released the song with background vocals by Emmylou Harris in 1998. Subsequently covered by Kenny Loggins, Nick Lachey, Dixie Chicks, and Marc Broussard, the song has sold millions of copies. This new version delivers a deeply moving cry for the children taken from parents at the border. I wish it Godspeed indeed.

Coco O'Connor's video of her haunting song 'This Ol War' is chalking up over 100,000 views since its release this July.

More about her:
She brings the singer-songwriter cultures of Sante Fe, NM and Nashville, Tn together and weaves it into hauntingly powerful music wholly her own. Her intuitive producer Parker Cason is the son of legendary Buzz Cason, owner of Creative Workshop where I've worked a ton on records in years past. Great to be there again singing some bgvs for her project!

***************************************
Katelyn Kocher just released a video to her new single 'Fade Into Nothing'. It's easy to hear why she'd dubbed the 'country Adele'.

More about her:
She's been invited to sing the National Anthem at national sporting events and been awarded NACMAI 2016 & 2018 Most Promising New Artist, 2017 & 2018 Female Vocalist of the Year as well as 2018 Songwriter of the Year.

***************************************
Amber Trottman (smiling girl in the middle) won a solo in her school's show choir... even with a cold!

More about her:
Amber and her brother are children of Gerald and Angie Trottman pictured here. Gerald is an old friend who is now lead composer at Alcon/Sleeping Giant Music group in Los Angeles. Amber is not only vocally gifted, she's a young old soul and centered as a performer - a chip off Gerald's amazing block!

LIVE PERFORMANCE:

I was invited by Bernard Porter to give a speech on vocal training at the PCG Summer Bootcamp. PCG always has a great group of new artists who come to their training events for current music career information and advice; glad to have been among the speakers there!

***************************************

I performed in a hit songwriter show for LOZ Radio  (an internet radio station that pays song licensing fees!) at the venue of Diane and JC Gentry. It was a wonderful reunion with some amazing old friends, including Randy C Moore, Dallas Frazier, Jimmy Payne, Bill Whyte and Jerry Foster! Thanks to Ginny Foley for the invitation... it was a blast!

STUDIO WORK:

Producer Laura Lorraine Culbertson hired me as vocal producer for her truly gifted Polish pop singer. I quickly grew to love them both.Jona Ardyn

Want to see us working? Check out this vocal production video of us.

***************************************
I did vocal production on a beautiful project by Kyle Samuel Brooks. His producer is Cub Creek Sound owner/engineer Mark Elliott, who is also in the Americana band 'Runaway Home'. Mark is awesome, and I can't wait to hear the mix on Kyle's project!

********************************************

I also got to do vocal production on the Jolly String Quartet.

There really are no words adequate for how good they are, with hearts that match their musicianship!

********************************************
I got to work with Melissa Dupuy at her studio, singing bgvs for singer/songwriter Jeff Crossan. We recently performed one of Jeff's songs with cellist, guitars and piano at our church 2nd Presbyterian.

I don't think there's an instrument with a string on it that Melissa can't play; she also plays drums and percussion, is a composer commissioned by the symphony, a university professor and a professional photographer. (Whew!) It's always such a pleasure to make music with this renaissance woman!
