Upcoming Events:

Bree Noble's "Profitable Musician Summit" begins today. I'm one of the presenters.

PCG's Summer Bootcamp is open for registration. I'm one of the teachers.

Jenny Tolman needs help!!  Vote her "Something To Complain About" video up in CMT's 12 Pack Countdown (watch the actual video here). She also made the "CMT Artist Discovery" list. Let's help her get that video to the top!

Kate Puckett gave a stunning vocal performance on her just-posted video cover of  'Never Enough"

More about her:
A signed artist to 'Legalized Crime Records', Kate writes an introspective and interesting blogpost on the search for balance.

Preston James has just released a dynamite EPK. One of the many quotes: "Preston is definitely on the fast track. You take that guitar and that hair and go tear up Nashville" - Blake Shelton

More about him:
Youngest performer to make it on both TV shows American Idol AND The Voice. Only 18, he has accomplished so much you'll just need to read his bio. And know that he is as good a heart as he is an artist.

Lots of artists I've worked with through the years are slated for CMA stages, on the free stages look for 3 up and coming ... Jenny Tolman, Jordyn Mallory, Riley Roth.

*****************************************

Joy Kate has the first single from her spring ep out called 'Flirt'.

More about her:
A pop singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actress, Kate already has major film, TV, commercials and voiceover credits. She has agents in the Southwest, LA and NYC.

And God bless her mother, Kate's still too young to drive!

Neumagz has a  new jazzy single & video out called "I Am The Sahara". She was recently interviewed by  'Vents Magazine'.

More about her:

Celebrating!! Leann Rimes has released a brand new version of One Way Ticket!!

In the most awesome deja vu situation I've experienced, the song I co-wrote with Keith Hinton has a new life, and at 66 years old I get mentioned in the Rolling Stone Magazine article about this version of the song (which they apparently love!) You just never know the lives your music may take on!

****************************************
I
am thrilled to be trading my contemporary vocal lessons for classical voice lessons under teacher Mark Thress!

It's been an awesome undertaking, We are learning so much from each other, and our mutual experimenting is benefiting each other's students!

Besides being a busy classical performer and teacher, Mark has been chosen to be a part of a unique task team to improve the technology of the electrolarynx. HIs heart is as big as his voice... and trust me, that's big!

***************************************
I've been writing a lot these last two months for ongoing projects, including with Heather Hayes, Briana Renea, McKenzie Knapps, Ricky Cook and Lauren Pochatko. Can't wait to hear them finally recorded!

****************************************
Had a blast producing tracks for Heather Hayes this month at Mainframe with engineer Nathan Smith. Chris Leuzinger headed up the band, and we'll be heading back in for another round next month. It's such a unique project; we're shooting for a Texas beach sound (yep, there are steel drums and ukes!)

***********************************

And I got to do what I've been doing for about 50 years now- sang background vocals!

Here's a shot of a vocal session marathon for Danny Shelton and 3ABN.

***************************************

Next ... look for my All Things Vocal Blog and Podcast update in your email mid-May. Got some great new episodes to share!
