November 2017
Kelly & Ellis just completed 9 shows in 9 days (talk about your vocal stamina)!
More about them:
Grammy nominated writer Casey Kelly was a label mate of mine on MTM Records in the 80s. Leslie Ellis has a Grammy award for bgvs she sang on the Celine Dion record 'My Heart Will Go On'. She also played Grizabella in CATS on Broadway! What an incredible duo... with credits to the moon and far from done! Look for their album 'The Long Road To You', recorded at John Willis studio in Nashville.

Joy Kate, multi-talented renaissance teenager, auditioned for Broadway this month!
More about her:
Joy Kate has already performed in 'off Broadway' productions of Pipin and Little Princess. A film actress, she has a supporting role in 2017 "Malicious". She is a recording artist and multi-instrumentalist and all-A student. She supports three charity platforms, featured on her website. Not sure what she does in her spare time, but I am so proud to be working with this girl whose
heart is as big as her talent!

Marly Ryken kicked off the Smoky Mountain Opry Christmas season with her beautiful rendition of the old standard "What Are You Doing New Years Eve"
More about her:
Marly is a terrific little ballerina as well as an old-soul interpreter of song. Can't wait to see where this girl will knock socks off next!

Kaylee Keller has a ton of stuff going on... she just released her new ep "Rubies" with video on her single 'Nowhere America'.
More about her:
Kaylee was featured on Fox News and named ambassador to the Mariah Fund, promoting tourism representing 22 counties in Kansas. She also uses her faith and her experience with bullying and sexual harrassment to protect, mentor and inspire others. It's my honor to support her voice.

Judy's News
I was interviewed by "The Practical Guitarist Podcast" and thrilled to be the first on their new "Women In Music" segment!
They did an in-depth exploration in 2-parts... covering my career in unusual detail. For instance, they began part 2 with my acceptance speech for winning ACM award in 1985.
If you're interested in some musical history sprinkled with my songs and vocal tips, here are the podcast links:

I had the great pleasure of performing "Be Thou My Vision" (on vocals & piano) with Melissa Dupuy (guitar), Randy Moore (bass) and my husband John (percussion) at our 2nd Presbyterian church this month. I freshly appreciated the importance of warming my voice up for both services, starting 8:30am (argh!)
Loved doing bgvs for songwriter Jeff Crossan at Melissa's studio on his beautiful new hymn
