Judy's News:
We of 6Play finished the demo of the 1st song John and I wrote. Nathan Smith mixed and mastered it stunningly. We will be closing our showcase with... "When The Day Is Over".
I produced tracks for a new project on teen alt country artist Sophie Hanneken. We co-wrote all three songs and will be doing vocals in about a month. We're working at Mainframe Studio, Nathan Smith at the helm, Mike Chapman band leader. I must say the tracks came out masterpieces! Looking forward to finishing it up with Sophie.

Performance:
I performed in-the-round with hall-of-famer Jerry Foster and Lionel Cartwright at the Commodore Grill, Nashville. I got to do acoustic versions of a few songs we do in 6Play. It was a honor and a blast. Jerry always pulls out a treasure chest of legendary hits. I'd forgotten what a truly great writer and performer Lionel is; he pulled out "Give Me His Last Chance", "I Watched It All On The Radio", "Leap Of Faith" and even sang his version of Jerry's song "I'll Think Of Something".

Songwriting:
Writing with my husband John Rodman for our band 6Play continues to be so sweet... almost like having another kid but not nearly as painful:) This time, a sort of Celtic rock tune came out... "The Ocean Has It Now". Think big drums, lots of dynamics and a couple of time changes.
Others I co-wrote with during this newsletter period included Chelsea Raya and Mallory Silberman.
Seminars, workshops:
I gave a vocal seminar in Tampa Florida for the clients of Prinwall Entertainment. We got them ready for their collective public performance which received rave reviews. Love it! And they are working towards writing their own musical with the help of Nashville studio Jay's Place owner Jay Vern. I'll be going back this fall to help them with their vocals again.
Interviews:
Dr. Dwaine Allison
and I were interviewed on Channel 4's "Midday" program about
chiropractic and how it can help the voice. I am Dr. Allison's
patient; he is my vocal student and production client. I have gained a
lot of perspective over the years discussing the voice and what affects it with Dr
Allison and can unequivocally vouch for positive effect
chiropractic has had on my and my clients' voices. Dr A. rocks!
