 Breaking News

First of all, I'd like to invite those of you on Facebook to 'like' (connect with) my new Judy Rodman Facebook Page. This is different from my profile page, which I estimate will be approaching the 5,000 limit in about three months. If you like, connect with both my profile and my business page, where I am active and offering information that could be of use to you. Thank you!

December 9th- I will be joining several others playing the Lonnie Layhew  Christmas Happening For Kids at 3rd & Lindsley. This is a worthy charity, and Lonnie is an angel.

To my recurring vocal students... those training in person and by phone... a special thank you for your dedication to excellence in your craft!

Thanks to Tee Tallent, Dick McVey,Tyler Matl and my webmaster Jeff Jennette for all for referrals.. and welcome to the new PPP students of November:

  • Chuck Thomas
  • Trip Bare
  • Eric Joyce
  • Norma Jean Martine
  • Ali Swandal
I went to the CMA's (first time in a long time) with my client 15 yr old Nichole Ashley Rain. I look forward to seeing her up there soon! We are writing towards her coming project.

Nichole, me, her mom Bonii, my mom Robbie Robbins

My vocal student and production client Emil Bishaw was nominated for three national music awards by Independent Music Network in Los Angeles!

He is currently nominated as new AC artist of 2010 by New Music Weekly. Please consider helping him out- go to this webpage, look for 'HOT AC" and vote for him under NEW ARTIST. Thanks so much!

Emil has released a Christmas song I produced on him to pop radio called "Christmas All Around". Listen for it!

Tyson Bowman has released our co-write 'Thank God For People" as a single. Fingers crossed!

Lyndsey Highlander was in the studio recently with producer Ron Oates. This new project is killer... and there are some Christmas tunes in there, too.

Dr. Dwaine Allison, my chiropractor, vocal student and production client (so I know and trust him!) ... now has an exciting alternative multi-purpose medical treatment called a "Bio Ray (or Beam Ray) - Rife Technology" which is available if you are in or can come to Nashville. You can watch a video on it to see what all the buzz is about.

Got news you'd like to share?
Let me know- this newsletter is for YOU! I'll include it next month.

Performance:

I very much enjoyed doing backgrounds for the Jim Wilkes Show in Las Vegas this month. We opened for the inimitable Gladys Knight (see my blogpost above) at the House Of Blues. Jim rocked the standing room only crowd as did the great Nashville session band and guest artists (Lara Vito, Atlantic Records artist Bret Eldridge and Curb artist Ashley Gearing.

I also had a blast singing at the Jerry Foster birthday bash. I got to play a round with Jerry and the great Perry Danos. Loads of artists showed up to play including Lynn Anderson. Hall of Fame writer Jerry is 75 years young.

Me and Jerry, more great photos on Facebook here

Later that week my husband John and I went to a guitar pull (where I played piano!) in his honor... Ginny Foley made a fantastic ham and it was great fun to play with Jerry and also Don and Karen McNatt again!

Studio:

I had the pleasure of singing bgvs for Jed Duncan, and produced vocals on Sim Balkey

Songwriting:

Co-writers I wrote with in November included Sim Balkey, Alie Campbell, Nichole Ashley Rain, Chaz McKinney, Holland Stroud and Laura Vito.
