I'd like to mention a couple of very special achievments of some of my students in the last few months:
- Jenny
Tolman and her husband Dave Brainard celebrate the birth of their first baby, named 'Bear'. Here's a beautiful article about them in People
Magazine.
- Her first show since Bear's birth is Saturday April 15th at 3rd & Lindsley featured with Jon Wolfe.
-
- Ashley Cooke made her debut performance on the Grand Ole Opry stage this last October with Gary LeVox of Rascall Flatts there to cheer her on! Another People Magazine article tells the story.
-
- Tiffany Haseker won New Music Awards - Country New Artist of
the Year with an album I produced on her. The first single “The One” spent 10 weeks at #1 on New Music Weekly’s Country Digital Chart, 8 weeks at #1 on Country Indie Music Singles Chart, 5 weeks on AC/Hot AC Indie Music Singles Chart, 2 weeks at number 1 on WHCR Hot Country Music Chart, & 2 weeks on National Radio Hits Country Chart. Needless to say, we are very proud of the success of this album!
The following two vocal students of mine who are cast in a groundbreaking new show set to air in 2024. I'll keep you updated on that, but for now, here's a lilttle blurb to celebrate both these extraordinary young voices:
- Amari Grace McCoy modeled for GAP as a baby. Now she is a voiceover series regular on three different animated projects: We Baby Bears, Pretzel and the Puppies, and Puppy Dog Pals as well as several recurring roles on
other shows. Most recently, Amari starred in director Tamika Miller's feature film Honor Student. You can also find her credits in several other shows at her IMDb page.
-
- Juliet Donenfeld is the youngest ever nominated for an Annie Award, being recognized for outstanding achievement, voice acting in an
Animated TV/Broadcast Production, Pete the Cat for voicing Sally Squirrel. You'll find a long list of her other TV, movie and animated series credits on her IMDb page, Her latest... an animated Star Wars show on Disney, debuts on May 4th of this year.
-
- And finally, congrats to Preston James for signing as songwriter with my old publisher Warner Chappell and King Pen Music! He's writing some absolutely killer songs, so this year may see a feeding frenzy for him as both a writer and artist.
I know I'm leaving a ton of news to celebrate out. If you've got some great news you'd like to share, please let me know and give me a link I can share on socials so we can celebrate with you!
